These Terms & Conditions govern your use of ItalyRails. By submitting a booking, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Terms & Conditions and the fare conditions shown during checkout.

1. Our service

ItalyRails provides journey search, booking support, payment collection, and delivery of rail-ticket information. Train services are operated by third-party rail operators. Their timetables, carriage conditions, disruption policies, and fare rules also apply to your journey.

2. Your responsibilities

  • Provide accurate passenger, contact, identity-document, and journey information before payment.
  • Check station names, dates, times, passenger names, ticket class, and fare conditions before confirming.
  • Carry the ticket and any identity document required by the operator, and comply with boarding and validation rules.
  • Do not misuse the website, interfere with security, scrape at unreasonable volume, or make fraudulent bookings.

3. Prices and payment

Prices are displayed in the currency shown at checkout and may include the rail fare and disclosed service or payment fees. Fares and availability can change until the order is confirmed. Your payment provider may apply its own exchange rate or charges.

4. Confirmation and ticket delivery

A payment acknowledgement is not always a final ticket. A booking is complete when we confirm it and provide the ticket or collection instructions. If supply fails after payment, we will contact you and arrange the applicable remedy, including a refund where required.

5. Changes, cancellations, and disruptions

Changes and refunds depend on the purchased fare and operator rules. Some fares are non-changeable or non-refundable. Operator-caused delays, cancellations, strikes, and timetable changes are handled under applicable passenger-rights law and the operator's conditions.

6. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded. To the extent permitted by law, ItalyRails is not responsible for losses caused by incorrect information supplied by you, missed trains, operator actions, force majeure, or indirect and unforeseeable losses.
